The Long Hard Road Ahead...
Well, here we are again... on our way to the start of another exciting sevens series, with our last pre season week done and dusted, the guys look quite ready and excited to start the new season. It has been a long hard 17 weeks of preparation that went by, but it wasn't just all work and no play. Thanks to Land Rover Stellenbosch, we got treated to a very awesome Saturday morning of cruising around the wine route area in Range Rovers,Discovery's and the all new Evogue. It was a very fun filled day and i would just like to thank Estelle and Frik for organizing it all. But after that, it was back to work and what lies ahead of us is a massive mountain to climb yet again. It's gonna be a long hard road ahead of us....But with all our supporters backing us, we will be up for the challenge.

Boom and Chris needs a nappy...
After a whole week of talking and reading about diapers and nappy's,here is one reason you might need one! If ever Chris and Boom needed one, here was the time...
The Pampers parade
This past week was by far one of the weirdest weeks i have ever experienced in my sevens career to date. Whilst it's a crunch week in terms of preparations, there was still time to fit in a photo shoot with the guys displaying our new kit. Little did we know what was brewing behind the scenes. All of a sudden we went from being called the Blitzbokke to the Diaper boys. For me personally, it was a very funny experience, and for most of us a laughing matter. But then on the other hand, we were bombarded by the media, friends & family and supporters. Everyone was spitting fire about the so called "nappy shorts" we were wearing. No one took more hits than poor Boom Prinsloo, being called "Pampers Prinsloo" and who knows what else, featuring in almost every paper this week.
I know it's hilariously funny, but not if you are on the receiving end all the time. All that poor Boom, Robert, Renfred, Chris and Benardo did was pose for an innocent photo or two and they ended up being ripped off in every paper this week and even a full article on the Rapport this Sunday comparing outfits of the past to present. While we understand that fans don't want to see their team playing in shorts that look like underwear or in a nappy look-a-like. A guy phoned me on my opinion on the issue and I said to him "I'm sure if you are there for the right reasons, guys will play in a black bag with the bok emblem on it if it comes to that!" Personally, i think there are more urgent matters to attend to. The only time we need to worry about nappy's is went the s*@# hits the fan...
